ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND ACTIVITIES
Since the inception of the KAFP Foundation in October 1991 we have had an opportunity to support a number of programs which enabled medical students and residents to be closely associated with both the KAFP and the AAFP.
Fund raisers to support the foundation programs:
- KAFP Annual Meeting
- UK Family Medicine Review Course
- UofL Primary Care Review Course
Projects sponsored by the foundation were:
- Cosponsorship of a resident to the Conference on Patient Education
- Support of Student to WONCA
- Support of AAFP Resident Repayment Program
- Anthem Partners in Family Medicine Program
- Support of Primary Care Day
- Support of Community Projects
- Sponsorship of FMIG Clubs
- Support for students to attend the National Conference of Residents and Students in Kansas City, MO
Foundation Support
- Partial payment of student dues
- Research Committee (KAN) assistance
